Without power for 3 days
The residents of Khushaalsar in Srinagar are without electricity for the last three days after the transformer in the area developed a snag. It is difficult at the time when the minimum temperature has touched -6.5°C. Despite requesting the authorities for the restoration of the transformer, we are without power and reeling under darkness. This is sheer injustice with us in the harsh winter. We request the authorities to please pay attention to our problem.

Winter advisory for kids
This is in reference to the partial freezing of water bodies in Srinagar, including the Dal Lake, where sometimes children are seen playing on the frozen surface. There should be an advisory from the authorities preventing people from walking on the surface of the frozen water, which can prove dangerous at times. This is an important matter of concern, which the authorities need to address at the earliest.

Demand for Sumo stands
The Sumo service that plies on different routes of the Valley occupy half the road near LD Hospital on the side of Children Park in Srinagar. While the locals need the Sumo service for commuting from their homes, but I think there should be a proper space allotted to them to park their vehicles and wait for passengers. By occupying the roadsides, these vehicles are making normal traffic movement difficult. The government should identify spaces for the public transport vehicles, which can ease the traffic and help in organising the city mess.
