Members of the Medical Practitioners’ Association Punjab, Bathinda unit, on Tuesday took out a protest march against drug abuse.

Addressing the protesters, association’s block president Jagseer Sharma said it was a matter of great concern that a number of youths today were hooked to drugs in the state, adding that people should join hands to root out the scourge of drug addiction.

Association’s state leader Dr HS Ranu said they had taken out such rallies in different parts of the state. He said they had also exhorted drug addicts to come forward to shun drugs and their association would extend them a helping hand without charging them anything for it.
