Holiday in UT today

The Chandigarh Administration has declared a holiday in all government offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions, and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, in the UT on August 17 as a mark of respect to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

PU exams put off

The Panjab University campus and all its affiliated colleges in Chandigarh and Punjab will remain closed on August 17 as a mark of respect to Vajpayee. The examinations, meetings and other related activities also stand postponed till the new dates are announced by the university. 

RLA applicants     

The office of the RLA will also remain closed on  August  17. The applicants who had taken appointment for August 17 can come on Monday and Tuesday for their work without taking any appointment.
