Tight security in place for Jagannath Rath Yatra

The police are making elaborate security and traffic arrangements in view of Jagannath Rath Yatra to be organised in the city on October 14. SSP Dhruv Dahuya said the district police, under SP Balwinder Singh Bhikhi had drawn a plan to control traffic. Proper arrangements were made by diverting routes. 

This yatra will start from Sabzi Mandi at 12.30pm and end at the same spot between 9pm and10pm. SSP appealed to all to cooperate for the smooth movement of vehicles. —TNS
