11 properties sealed for not paying tax in Karnal

In a major crackdown on property tax defaulters, the tax branch of the Karnal Municipal Corporation (KMC), on Thursday sealed 11 properties, including six shops in Super Mall, building of K3C Mall, a banquet hall and others, for not depositing their property tax. They have to pay a tax to the tune of Rs 2 crore.

As per the authorities, more properties will also be sealed in the coming days. The KMC has already issued notices to these property owners a few days ago, but when nobody came to clear their dues, the KMC initiated this process, said Manoj Kumar, Commissioner, KMC. — TNS
