Students at various government schools were unable to witness the PM’s programme, “Pariksha Pe Charcha”, today for want of proper arrangements. Lack of TV sets and power cuts marred the show in many schools.

During the live address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, lack of proper arrangements ruined the show at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Civil Lines. Around 25 students were sitting in front of a TV set in the DTH room. They could see the PM, but could not hear him as there was no sound. While other students were busy with the Republic Day preparations. A student said only 25 students were called to hear the PM.

Students at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Jacobpura, were made to sit on the floor in the cold and heard the PM through a phone that was placed in front of a mike as due to faulty Internet they could not watch the programme. At Arjun Nagar Government Girls Senior Secondary School, the arrangements were in place, but the electricity went off at 12 pm.

At Primary School, Mohammadpur, Senior Secondary School, Janaula, and a few other schools in rural areas, teachers managed the show with their car stereos. “The programme was focused on the examination of higher classes,” said Prem Lata Yadav, basic education officer, Gurugram.
