Several BJP and Congress leaders and workers from Palampur, Baijnath, Sulah, and Jaisinghpur joined AAP in the presence of its state in-charge Durgesh Pathak at a function here today. Two BJP leaders, who joined AAP, are Rup Rekha, a Kangra Zila Parishad member, and Ravinder Ravi, a member of the State Labour Welfare Board. Both belong to the Sulah represented by Vipin Singh Parmar, Speaker.

He said the people, after seeing the performance of the AAP government in Delhi, wanted “an honest government in the state as well”.

Pathak, addressing mediapersons later, said that the people of Himachal were fed up with the “corrupt politics” of the BJP and the Congress, which had been alternatively ruling the state.

“People are now looking for a third alternative, a new party that can give clean administration, better future to the country as well as to the hill state,” he added. AAP is a party of honest and ordinary people, who believed in the best education and health facilities.
