The state BJP will convene a meeting here on Tuesday. The party will discuss its strategy for the six-day winter session to be held in Dharamsala from December 10 to 15.

Feedback on ongoing development works and implementation of schemes announced in the budget will also be sought from the members for the preparation of the budget for 2019-20.

Since the BJP government is completing one year on December 27, the deliberations will mainly focus on its performance during the winter session.

Usually, the meeting of the Legislature Party is held on the eve of the session, but this time it is being held in advance so that MLAs can prepare themselves to blunt the attack of the Opposition and defend the government.

The BJP is meeting for the first time after the appointment of Narendra Bragta as the Chief Whip and Romesh Dhawala as the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Board. The issue of adjusting more MLAs is also likely to be raised during the meeting.

The appointment of some defeated MLAs as chairpersons/vice-chairpersons has also irked some senior MLAs, while some other leaders, who were denied ticket and assured that they would be suitably accommodated in case the party came to power, are also getting restless. Some other senior leaders, who lost the elections but denied any post, are also sore and lobbying for the plum posts.
