21-yr-old held on rape charge

Jalandhar, September 21

The local police have arrested a 21-year-old youth for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl. The incident came to light on Thursday.

According to the police, the accused raped the girl at 2 am when family members of the victim had gone to attend a religious programme. Locals raised the alarm when they found the accused in an inappropriate condition and called the police.

Gagandeep Singh, SHO of the Basti Bawa Khel police station said a case had been registered. — TNS
