Series of events mark Day 2 of youth festival

JALANDHAR: On the second day of the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) Zonal Youth Festival, bhangra, skit and mime performances by young talent enthralled the audience at the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus.

On the second day of the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) Zonal Youth Festival, bhangra, skit and mime performances by young talent enthralled the audience at the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus.

Students of CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology (CTIEMT) won first prize in Bhangra, vaar singing, classical vocal (solo), skit, whereas DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) bagged first positions in mime, cartooning and mehndi.

This year, the theme of the festival is ‘Youth against Drugs’ while it is dedicated to 150 years of birth of Mahatma Gandhi. The day included a number of enchanting performances and events.

On the first day of the fest, DAVIET won first prizes in group shabad, mimicry, group song Indian, light vocal Indian (solo), Punjabi folk song, creative writing (poem), clay modelling, rangoli, collage making and still photography, whereas CTIEMT bagged first prizes in one act play and creative writing (story).—TNS
