MLAs meet Guv, seek early completion of bridges

Srinagar, July 21

A five-member delegation of legislators led by Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi, Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly, met Governor NN Vohra at the civil secretariat here on Saturday.

The delegation requested the Governor to implement the judgment of the Supreme Court for facilitating reservation in promotions of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. The legislators also sought exemption from e-tendering in their respective constituencies and early completion of Dangithal, Dawar and Ashora bridges. They also requested the Governor for opening of the Drass-Gurez road via the Mushkoh valley for locals and tourists.

The Governor assured the delegation that the issues raised by them would receive due consideration. —TNS
