An electrical and automation engineer, Yoshiki shares her fitness secrets:
Regulate intake
No food after six pm, intermittent fasting, at least three litres of water and no sugar in routine is my mantra. Occasional binge is okay, but fasting helps your stomach to digest the food better.
Fitness & energy
Fitness defines your energy state, which then defines your everyday success. So respect and nourish it well.
While working…
Always be connected to a fitness community or a coach. This will push you when you feel lazy.
Lockdown was crazy
After a crazy lockdown binge, I took complete charge of my diet and shed off extra weight by cutting out carbs and sugar completely, and through yoga. I think this must have affected many folks and it must be tough to get back, but then perseverance pays.
Bring out the glow
‘Face yoga’ will give you the glow, and take away the double chin as well as wrinkles. Take online courses for the same. Eating a healthy, non-greasy diet too does wonders for the skin.
Curated diet
I feel that a curated diet is a boon. Get allergy tests done to know what all foods trigger inflammation and indigestion in you. Accordingly, adjust your diet.
Nutrition is important
Nuts and sprout chaat, tasty and healthy, are a sound option and fruits too should be taken at the right time.
Personal take
Cut down sugar and other insulin-spiking products for losing weight.
Strong mind
Train your mind to say ‘I don’t like this food’, even if you do, your mind will start taking it as truth, which will make your fitness journey easy.
