Ludhiana, January 23

The students of Nankana Sahib Public School (NSPS), Gill Park, gave a stupendous performance in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (LSSC) Athletics Meet held at Police DAV Public School ground, Civil Lines, here recently.

Brajesh Kumar and Karandeep Singh Sidhu were adjudged best athletes in U-14 and U-19 categories, respectively. In the boys U-17 category, NSPS bagged the overall trophy and in the girls U-17 category, the players secured the second runners-up trophy.

In individual events, Brajesh Kumar clinched gold medals in 100m and 200m races while Karandeep Singh emerged victorious in 400m and 800m races. Jasnoor Singh won 100m and 200m races in the boys U-17 category and Rajveer Singh secured the silver medal in long jump in the same age group.

A team comprising Jasnoor Singh, Karandeep Singh, Bally and Rajveer Singh won the 4x100m relay race. In the boys U-19 category, Husan Pal Singh won bronze medals in long jump and 1,500m race. Jaskaran Singh, Jashanpreet Singh, Love Preet Singh and Husan Pal Singh teamed up and secured the bronze medal in 4x100m relay race in the boys U-19 category.

In the girls U-14 group, Japneet Kaur emerged as the fastest runner and won gold in 100m sprint and Shivangi secured the bronze medal in 800m race.
