The Department of Food and Nutrition, PAU, in collaboration with local chapters of Nutrition Society of India and Indian Dietetic Association (IDA), celebrated the National Nutrition Month (September) by organising a panel discussion on the topic “Personalise your Plate”. Dr Kiran Bains, professor and head, Department of Food and Nutrition, PAU, emphasised about body image and the fact that it involved a person’s thoughts, perceptions, imagination and emotions as well. “It does not necessarily reflect what a person sees in the mirror or what other people see”, she said. About 150 participants joined the session online, coming up with their personal experiences and queries which were addressed by the experts.
