The Vishwa Hindu Parishad does not want the division of the disputed site in Ayodhya and wants the entire land for building the Ram Mandir said VHP international vice- president Champat Rai on Sunday.

This is directly challenging the 2010 Allahabad High Court verdict that had given 2/3 of the site to the Hindus and one third to the Muslim petitioners.

Addressing the massive crowd assembled at the Bada Bhakt Mahal Bagiya in Ayodhya for the Dharam Sabha, Rai said that the struggle for a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is 500 years old.

“Hindus now want the whole land for the Ram Mandir. Building a masjid here is unacceptable. Muslims should withdraw their case,” he said.

Charging the Supreme Court of dragging its feet on the Ram Mandir issue, he said that the court is not giving the issue the priority it deserves.

“We have come to remind some people that the Ram Mandir issue did not end on December 6, 1992. That is why we have to organise this Dharam Sabha after 25 years.  BJP may do politics but we are not ready to accept anything less than the Ram Mandir,” said Rai.

Swami Rambhadracharya of the Tulsi Peeth made another startling revelation when he told the gathering that a central minister had assured him of a positive development regarding the Ram Mandir in January once the model code of conduct was withdrawn.

Very tight security was in place for the Dharam Sabha, which began at around 11 am after recitation of mantras and continued till 3 pm.

RSS Sah Karyawah Krishna Gopal was presiding over the meeting and among the large number of saints present on the dais were acting president of Ramjanambhoomi Nyas Mahant Nrityagopal Das, Premanand Maharaj and Dashrath gaddi’s Brajmohan Das and many others.

Among chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and “Jab kesariya lehrayega ,hosh thikane ayega’ the large number of Ram Bhakts, mostly youth had  assembled at Ayodhya were from mainly from 45 districts of central and eastern part of the state.

They had come equipped with sound systems and broke into impromptu dance on religious songs.

Meanwhile, Tapasvi ji ki Chavni ashram’sMahant Paramhans Das and his supporters had arrived at the venue with bricks on their heads symbolically demanding speedy building of the temple.

Later this Mahant was house arrested in his ashram. Last month he had resorted to hunger strike to press for his demand of a Ram Mandir and was forcibly picked up and admitted to a Lucknow hospital.

Meanwhile, in Lucknow the Pragatisheel Samajwadi party Lohia head Shivpal Singh Yadav met Governor Ram Naik demanding the dismissal of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for allowing such a large gathering in Ayodhya when Section 144 was in force.

He along with a large number of supporters marched to the Raj Bhawan and staged a dharna there till the governor invited a delegation to meet him.

Presenting a memo to the governor Shivpal Yadav said that for the last few days a build up has been allowed in Ayodhya against the law.

ADG Law and Order Anand Kumar reiterated that that foolproof security arrangements had been made in Ayodhya .

He described as social media rumour news of IB inputs of likelihood of terrorists disguised as saints entering the Dharam Sabha venue.

Drone cameras were being used to keep an eye on the crowds.
