Patiala police has booked a 45-year-old man for stalking and sexually harassing a woman police officer. The stalker is said to have been asking the police officer to be his “girlfriend”.

The accused has been identified as Malkeet Singh of village Swai Singh Wala in Julkan block of the district.

He has been booked under Section 354-A and 354-D of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). It has been learnt that the woman police officer was on her way to the police station on a Scooty when the accused followed her for a few kilometres.
