MGSIPA holds 60 training camps

BATHINDA: The regional centre of Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), which has been offering training to officials of Bathinda and seven other districts, held as many as 60 training camps during the year.

The regional centre of Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), which has been offering training to officials of Bathinda and seven other districts, held as many as 60 training camps during the year.

The centre offers training to officials working in various departments of the district administration on how to make sure that the maximum number of people avail the benefits of the social welfare schemes.

Talking about the Bathinda MGSIPA centre, Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garg said during the training programmes at the centre, government officials are offered detailed knowledge about various schemes and programmes offered by the government.

Elaborating on the number of camps organised this year under the MGSIPA, project coordinator Mandeep Singh said this year till December, as many as 60 training camps ranging from five-day, three-day, two-day and one-day, were organised in Bathinda, Ferozepur, Mansa, Faridkot, Moga, Muktsar and Fazilka.

In Bathinda alone, nearly 30 training camps were organised and around 800 officials and employees from various departments received training, he added.
