Amritsar, September 3

Sri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport (SGRJI) will soon have new flights for Bangkok and Goa. Rajya Sabha member and state BJP president Shwait Malik announced the schedule of new flights on Monday. SpiceJet has opened the sale of tickets for Bangkok and Goa. The flights would be operational from November 6. Initially, the flight will be four times a week.

Malik claimed that the airport had been getting new flights with his initiatives, particularly his Parliament speech in July 2016.

“With the initiatives of the BJP government, the loss of Rs 70 crore in 2016 has been reduced to Rs 25 crore. The Congress conspired against the Amritsar airport to provide benefits to a private company,” he added.
