Amritsar, December 6

Raising concerns over law and order, Aam Adami Party (AAP) workers on Thursday staged a protest in the city.

A protest march was taken out from Bhandari Bridge to the DC’s office on the occasion.

AAP workers, led by Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Baljinder Kaur and party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Amritsar Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, submitted a memorandum to officials of the district administration in this regard.

Dhaliwal said the state government had failed to maintain the law and order situation in the state.

“The recent incidents, including a grenade attack on Nirankari Bhavan and attack on RTI activist Suresh Sharma, firing incident in the Chheharta area and robbery incidents, in the city have exposed the inefficacy of the police,” said Dhaliwal.— TNS
