Beopar Mandal seeks rollback of professional tax

AMRITSAR: Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal, in a meeting with its members on Tuesday, urged the government to roll back professional tax.



Amritsar, March 26

Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal, in a meeting with its members on Tuesday, urged the government to roll back professional tax.

The meeting was presided over by president of the Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal, Pyaare Lal Seth, and Punjab secretary Samir Jain.

Pyaare Lal Seth said, “Our Mandal has committees in 16 districts in the state. We shall be working more to establish better coordination.”

“We demand that professional tax should be rolled back as well as problems arising in processing of goods and services tax should be resolved. All political parties preparing manifestoes should declare it as a legal document otherwise the mandal will prepare a manifesto,” he added.

Samir Jain, state secretary, said, “The exploitation of traders should be stopped. We must work together.” — TNS

Pyaare Lal Seth said, “Our Mandal has committees in 16 districts in the state. We shall be working more to establish better coordination.”
