GNDU to mark Foundation Day on Nov 24

AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University will celebrate its 49th Foundation Day on November 24 at different venues in the university campus.

Guru Nanak Dev University will celebrate its 49th Foundation Day on November 24 at different venues in the university campus.

Prof Sarbjot Singh Behl, Registrar (officiating), said Vice-Chancellor Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu had constituted different committees for the smooth conduct of Foundation Day celebrations. Prof Ved Prakash, former chairman, University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Prof Charan Singh, non-executive chairman, Punjab and Sind Bank, will be delivering academic lectures at the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan Auditorium of the university at 11 am.

The celebrations shall begin with the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path at the University Gurdwara Sahib followed by Shabad Kirtan. Painting exhibition would be the main attraction. The exhibition will be organised at The Gallery-History and Dreams in the university campus. Guru ka langar would be served opposite indoor stadium. In the evening, Kirtan Darbar at the University Gurdwara Sahib will also be organised.
