GST official listens to taxpayers’ problems

AMRITSAR: In view of the GST annual return mela, a meeting was held with the GST Practitioner Association at the CGST Division Office in Custom House on Friday.

In view of the GST annual return mela, a meeting was held with the GST Practitioner Association at the CGST Division Office in Custom House on Friday.

Association members were advised to spread awareness among taxpayers to file their annual returns in time to avoid last moment rush and avoid any late fee or penalty.

Balvinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner (DC), CGST, listened to the problems faced by taxpayers from the association while filing GSTR 9 (annual return under the GST) and assured all help and guidance from CGST officials so that issues faced by them could be taken care of.

The DC also said in case taxpayers faced any problem or had any queries they could meet him and to the concerned range officials without any prior appointment.

Association representatives assured full cooperation to the department to spread awareness among taxpayers about filing returns in time.
