6 transformers stolen in Malout

MALOUT: Thieves stole six electricity transformers installed in fields at Ratharian village on the intervening night of March 19-20.

Thieves stole six electricity transformers installed in fields at Ratharian village on the intervening night of March 19-20.

In a complaint lodged with the police, the Assistant Engineer (Distribution), Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), Abul Khurana, stated that goods worth Rs 1.56 lakh had been stolen.

The Malout (City) police have registered a case under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in this regard. The police said efforts were on to identify the suspects.
