Malwa College of Physical Education today held a felicitation ceremony to honour the students who performed well at the recently held inter-college competitions organised by Punjabi University, Patiala.

Director of the college, Prof Darshan Singh said a contingent of 36 athletes represented the college and won eight gold, seven silver and four bronze medals in the men’s category and six gold and three silver medals in the women’s category.

Students of Baba Farid College showcased their sporting prowess at the 52nd Inter-College Athletics Championship of Punjabi University, Patiala, held on the university campus in which 150 students of different colleges participated.

Eight students of Baba Farid College (BFC) also participated in this athletics championship.

Students of the BFC, Gurasees Singh, Akash, Suresh Kumar and Harmandeep Singh won a bronze medal in 4x400m relay race. Dr Pardeep Kaura, deputy director (academics), Baba Farid Group of Institutions, congratulated the students on their achievement.

Students of Government Rajindra College also performed well in the inter-university gymnastics competition held in Gwalior. Manpreet, Sukhjeet and Twinkle of the college brought laurels to the college by winning a silver medal in the competition. They were also honoured by the Department of Physical Education of their college.
