Clash at village Tiyona: Police register cross case, no arrests yet

BATHINDA: The Bathinda Sadar police have registered a cross case in connection with the clash that took place between the villagers of Tiyona.

The Bathinda Sadar police have registered a cross case in connection with the clash that took place between the villagers of Tiyona. However, no arrests have been made by the police so far.

Narinder Singh, SHO, Bathinda Sadar police station, said two complaints have been received in connection with the clash that took place between two groups of villagers.

In the first complaint lodged by Satnam Singh, a resident of village Tiyona, it has been allegedly stated that Guraditta Singh, Darshan Singh and Jagtar Singh assaulted him in the village on Tuesday morning and the police have booked the accused under sections 341, 323 and 34 of the IPC.

He said that in the second complaint lodged by Guraditta Singh, a resident of village Tiyona, it was stated that Satnam Singh, along with an unidentified accused, assaulted him and also fired shots at him. The Bathinda Sadar police have booked Satnam Singh and four unidentified accused in connection with the case.

Narinder Singh said both the complainants have been admitted to the Civil Hospital and no arrests have been made by the police. An investigation is on and the accused will soon be held.

On Tuesday morning, a clash had taken place between two groups of villagers in Tiyona following a dispute over passage to land.
