A woman has been appreciated for donating blood on Karva Chauth for the surgery of an elderly man and that too at the midnight.

Sarika Kalra, in her mid-thirties, had reached the hospital immediately after Deepak Garg, chairman, Jai Baba Khetarpal Blood Group, sought her help for the needy.

Garg said, “This woman is an inspiration for many. She donated blood on the day when a majority of women observe a fast for the long life of their husbands. The elderly man was to be operated for a hip injury and he urgently needed blood.”

Notably, Deepak Garg is active on the social media in arranging blood for the needy.
