Bathinda, March 9

IAS Sakshi Sawhney, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Bathinda.

She replaces IAS Shena Aggarwal, who would join as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) in Ludhiana. Balwinder Singh, earlier posted as Assistant Commissioner (General), Bathinda, is now appointed as SDM Bathinda.

PCS Rishi Pal Singh has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Bathinda (MCB). He has also been given the additional charge of Chief Administrator, Bathinda Development Authority. He was earlier posted as Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana.

IAS Sanyam Aggarwal, who was earlier posted as MCB Commissioner and had an additional charge of the Chief Administrator of the Bathinda Development Authority, has been given a new posting as Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana.

It would be challenging for the new commissioner as the MCB is facing many issues such as fund crunch, staff shortage, solid waste management plant, door-to-door garbage collection project coming to end on April 3 and preparations for the monsoon season coming ahead among others.
