Mansa DC inspects wheat procurement centres

BATHINDA: Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner, Mansa, on Thursday inspected the process of wheat procurement and lifting in the grain markets of Bhikhi and Budhlada in Mansa district.

Bathinda, April 19

Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner, Mansa, on Thursday inspected the process of wheat procurement and lifting in the grain markets of Bhikhi and Budhlada in Mansa district. He directed the entire staff, workers and officials involved in the process of procurement, to work diligently and anomaly of any kind would not be tolerated.

He inspected the basic facilities being provided to the farmers and also examined the stacks of grain in the market and directed the staff present to keep the cleanliness of wheat crop in mind before putting the produce into bags.

The DC also interacted with farmers and arthiyas and tried to find out their problems. He Dhaliwal directed the officials to expedite the process of wheat lifting. Apart from Budhlada SDM Gursimran Dhillon, District Food and Supply Controller Baldev Raj Verma were among those who were present during the Deputy Commissioner’s visit.
