SHO’s cook commits suicide

An incident of suicide by the personal cook of the SHO, Maur, at his personal residence was reported on Sunday night at Maur here.

As per information, Maur SHO Dalvir Singh had taken a private kothi on rent in the town and had kept a private cook in his house. The reason behind the suicide by the cook has not been ascertained yet.

ASI Baljit Singh said, “SHO (Maur) Dalvir Singh was doing his duty at the Baisakhi Mela and when he returned to his house after work last night, he found the body of his cook Jaswinder Singh, alias Ninder (20), a resident of Jalal village, hanging from the ceiling of a fan in his room.”

The ASI said the family members of the victim had been informed of the incident and the victim’s body sent to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem.
