Pensioners’ data to be uploaded on social security portal, says DC

BATHINDA: The Social Security Department, Punjab, has started work on uploading data of old age, widow, dependent and handicapped pensioners on the social security portal.

The Social Security Department, Punjab, has started work on uploading data of old age, widow, dependent and handicapped pensioners on the social security portal.

Giving this information here today, Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, Dr Basant Garg, said the data of all pensioners was to be uploaded on the portal. Besides filling primary data, pensioners’ mobile number and Aadhaar card details would also be uploaded.

This would ensure transparency in the work of pension distribution and complaints related to pension too would be addressed soon. If a beneficiary did not have own mobile number, he or she could give mobile phone number of any family member or friend.

He appealed all rural beneficiaries to submit their Aadhaar card numbers and mobile phone numbers at the office of the District Social Security Officer, Room No. 278-281, first floor, District Administrative Complex, before May 13.

Also, the rural beneficiaries had been asked to submit the same details to the CDPO offices concerned.

District Social Security Officer (DSSO) Naveen Gadwal said for getting new pensions, aspirants could fill their forms and submit at the offices of CDPOs. If the aspirant belong to the SC community, he or she should attach the requisite supporting documents and if the aspirant is from a below poverty line category, he or she should attach the BPL No. with the form.
