In a tragic incident, a one-year-old child was crushed under his father’s bus in Sangat Khurd village in the district.

On the complaint of the mother of the deceased, the police have registered a case of negligence against the father and grandmother of the child. The complainant alleged that her son died due to their negligence. The police have initiated a probe into the incident.

Manpreet Kaur of Sangat Kalan village has complained that on Monday she was working at her house and her child was being taken care of by her mother-in-law Manjit Kaur. Her husband, Ravinder Singh, who drives a private bus, started his bus parked outside the house and his son was crushed under its front wheels. She alleged that this happened due to the negligence of her husband and mother-in-law. The police have registered a case under Section 304-A against both the accused at Sangat police station. However, no arrests have been made in the case so far. — TNS
