Youth shot dead by friend on Power House Road

Bathinda, May 21

A youth was killed and another injured in a firing incident that occured on Power House Road late last night.

Rajwinder Singh and Jaskaran Singh, both residents of Model Town, Phase-1, went to drop their friend Jasdevinder Singh, a resident of the Power House Road area, to his home in street number 11/1.

There was a clash between Rajwinder Singh and Jasdevinder Singh over some issue after which the latter opened fired on the former.

Rajwinder suffered a shot in his chest while Jaskaran was hit thrice.

Rajwinder was declared dead by doctors of a private hospital. Jaskaran Singh was admitted to another private hospital.

Jasdevinder Singh also suffered a minor injury. He was admitted to the Civil Hospital under the surveillance of the police.

CIA-2 in-charge Tarjinder Singh with his team reached the spot. They recovered.32 bore revolver from the spot.

A Case has been registered on the basis of a complaint by Harkirtan Singh, father of Rajwinder Singh.

Investigating officer Majer Singh said a case has been registered against Jasdevinder Singh under Sections 302 and 307 of the IPC and 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act at the Cantonment police station. — TNS
