A 21-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her rented accommodation in Lalru Mandi on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Prem Lata, a resident of Lalru Mandi. The victim took the extreme step when she was alone at home. Her husband was away at work at the time of the incident. The police shifted the body to a mortuary at the nearby Civil Hospital and had informed her parents in Rajasthan. No suicide note was found. — OC
