3 booked for criminal breach of trust

CHANDIGARH:The Chandigarh Police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust against three persons, including a transporter and two drivers, after they failed to deliver the goods at the destination.

The Chandigarh Police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust against three persons, including a transporter and two drivers, after they failed to deliver the goods at the destination.

According to the police, complainant Karan Pahwa, manager, Avon Rims, Industrial Area, reported that suspects Dinesh Kumar, partner of Kush Transport Company, Dariya village, and two drivers Partap and Vikas loaded 425 bundles containing 4,688 pieces of rims worth around Rs 13.33 lakh.

The complainant has alleged that the suspects also received Rs 58,500 as freight charges from his company to deliver these goods in Patna, Bihar.

The goods, however, was not delivered. A case under Section 407 (criminal breach of trust by carrier, etc) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the suspects. An investigation has been initiated.
