The management conclave “Sapience 1.0” organised by the Business Club of University Business School (UBS), concluded at Rajiv Gandhi College Bhawan, Panjab University, today.

The event was held under the guidance of Dr Kulwinder Singh, Adviser, Business Club of UBS.

Bhavnesh Bhat, founder and director, Ripple HR said, “The power of communication can not be ignored.” He engaged the audience by using a video presentation and urged the students to go into the depths of communication and understand the essence of communication rather than emphasising on rhetoric.

Abhinav Chamoli, head, Advisory Partnerships Adobe, explained the the difference between data, information and knowledge.

Anjali Ahuja, Director-HR, ERM India, said, “We have been able to create managers but not leaders.”

She said, “What you give is what you get. Touch peoples’ heart and they will do anything for you.”

Samar Singla, CEO, Jugnoo, said, “Risk return ratio in an entrepreneurship is better than a corporate life, but the former is full of stress.”

He said, “If someone can cope up with stress then an entrepreneur venture can be pursued.”

Three UBS students, including Raghu Bhatia, Utkarsh Rastogi and Kriti Sharma formed an important part of the team. The event was moderated by Prof Meenakshi Malhotra. Prof Deepak Kapur, chairperson, UBS, also graced the occasion.
