AMBALA: The district administration today launched a mobile application ‘Clean Ambala’ to improve sanitation in Ambala.

Ambala, December 4

The district administration today launched a mobile application ‘Clean Ambala’ to improve sanitation in Ambala.

Ambala Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma, who launched the app, said the complaints received on the app would be resolved in a time-bound manner and the complainants would be notified on their mobile phones about the status of their complaints.

The app would give a facility to residents to post the photograph with location of garbage, overflowing drain, insanitary condition or any other civic problem.

“The app will cater to the urban as well as rural residents of the entire district. It will also act on the complaints of stubble burning, besides the cleanliness,” said the Deputy Commissioner.

He asked the civic officials to ensure that each and every complaint received on the app should be duly attended.

“The progress of the app will be reviewed after 15 days. Further improvements will be done as per the requirement,” he added.

TheDeputy Commissioner instructed the district police officials to ensure free flow of vehicular traffic on the main highway running through railway station and bus stand and regulate the movement of buses and auto-rickshaws to prevent road blocks.

Sharma directed officials of the NHAI, Railways and MCto keep the surroundings of railway station and bus stand neat and clean. TNS
