Air Marshal inaugurates new facilities for Mi-17 overhaul

CHANDIGARH: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Air Marshal RKS Shera, inaugurated new infrastructural facilities for the repair and overhaul of Mi-17 V5 helicopter airframes and their aero engines during his visit to No. 3 Base Repair Depot here today.

Chandigarh, April 16

Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Air Marshal RKS Shera, inaugurated new infrastructural facilities for the repair and overhaul of Mi-17 V5 helicopter airframes and their aero engines during his visit to No. 3 Base Repair Depot here today.

He inspected various aircraft and aero engine overhauling facilities of 3 BRD and was given a presentation on various technical, administrative and loigistical aspects of the depot’s activities.

Addressing the IAF personnel, he complimented them for proactively supporting the aging Russian helicopter fleet. He also inaugurated the 2nd Marshal of the IAF Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament and later unveiled an HPT-32 aircraft installed at the 3 BRD Air Force School in Sector 31. — TNS
