CHANDIGARH:Arpit beat Pragun 6-4 to win the boys’ U-12 title on the concluding day of the Sunrise Open Tennis Tournament at the Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, here on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, May 21 

Arpit beat Pragun 6-4 to win the boys’ U-12 title on the concluding day of the Sunrise Open Tennis Tournament at the Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, here on Tuesday. 

Earlier, in the semifinals Arpit defeated Vismay 5-3, while Pragun registered an identical win over Jaskirat.

In the boys’ U-14 title clash, Daksh drubbed Yatharth 6-0. Daksh had beat Pragun 5-0 in the semifinals, while Yatharth overcame Hriday 5-4(3). 

The boys’ U-16 title went to Kartik. He registered a 6-4 win over Kartikeya in the final. In the semifinals, Kartik survived some anxious moments before he humbled Gurpuneet 5-4(5), Kartikeya edged out Lakshya 5-2. 

In the girls’ U-12 final, Sidak blanked Niharika 5-0, while in the boy’s U-10 final Kanav registered a 5-3 win over Advit.
