PATIALA: The body of an unidentified person was found outside a shop near Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib on Sunday. The police have booked an unidentified person on the charge of murder.

Patiala, January 28

The body of an unidentified person was found outside a shop near Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib on Sunday. The police have booked an unidentified person on the charge of murder. 

Officials said the body was found in a pool of blood. 

They said the deceased had not been identified while attempts to nab the accused were on. The police said they had registered a case under Sections 302 (murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC the Anaj Mandi police station.

One booked for attempt to murder

In another case of attempt to murder registered at the Shambhu police station, complainant Sahib Singh of Shambhu said he was stabbed by another man with a sharp-edged weapon. 

He is undergoing treatment at the PGI in Chandigarh. The accused has been identified as Pyara Singh of Basma village. 

The complainant said he and the accused had an alteration over money after which the latter attacked him. The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
