Child rights panel calls MC Commissioner

CHANDIGARH: Taking suo motu notice of a series of news reports carried in these columns on the increasing dog-bite cases in the city, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) has called the local MC Commissioner and the UT Director, Health Services (DHS), tomorrow with the relevant record and action taken or proposed in the matter.

Taking suo motu notice of a series of news reports carried in these columns on the increasing dog-bite cases in the city, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) has called the local MC Commissioner and the UT Director, Health Services (DHS), tomorrow with the relevant record and action taken or proposed in the matter.

“The commission has taken suo motu cognisance of the news reports and has convened a meeting of the MC Commissioner and the DHS on May 17,” CCPCR chairperson Harjinder Kaur told Chandigarh Tribune here today. Chandigarh Tribune had highlighted the rising dog-bite cases in the tricity. — TNS
