Factory owner among two arrested for theft

Chandigarh, February 14

Two persons, including a factory owner, have been arrested in a theft case.

According to the police, a case was registered at the Sector 31 police station on February 12 following a complaint by Peeyush Gupta who had stated that his worker Jai Parkash, a resident of Ram Darbar, had attempted to steal some material from his factory at Industrial Area, Phase II. Later, Gupta found that three hydraulic boxes, which were used in chairs, and other valuables missing.

The police initiated an investigation and a team led by Inspector Rajdeep Singh, SHO, Sector 31 police station, nabbed Jai Parkash. A hydraulic box and other valuables stolen from the factory were recovered from him.

The police said the accused revealed that he had given two hydraulic boxes to Rajesh Sharma, the proprietor of M/s Surya Polymes, Industrial Area, Phase II, adjoining the complainant’s factory.

The cops then arrested Rajesh and recovered the two stolen hydraulic boxes from him. The police said Jai Parkash used to steal valuables from the factory and throw them on the premises of M/s Surya Polymes in connivance with its proprietor. — TNS
