CHANDIGARH: Ambassador of France to India Alexandre Ziegler and others on Wednesday held a meeting with officials of the Chandigarh Administration to discuss the progress under the Smart City mission.

Chandigarh, April 18

Ambassador of France to India Alexandre Ziegler and others on Wednesday held a meeting with officials of the Chandigarh Administration to discuss the progress under the Smart City mission.

Along with Ziegler, Country Director India, French Development Agency, Nicolas Fornage, and Counsellor Sustainable Development, Fanny Herve, were also present.

The meeting was attended by Parimal Rai, Adviser to the UT Administrator; Anurag Agarwal, Home Secretary; AK Sinha, Finance Secretary, UT; and Jitender Yadav, Municipal Corporation Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer, Smart City.

The officials discussed the progress under three different areas — 24x7 water supply, upgrade of sewerage treatment plants and mobility. The officials of the Chandigarh Administration tabled their ideas and expectations in connection with the Smart City project and it was assured that all essential steps will be taken in these areas to fast-track development.
