GGDSD College wins PU youth festival

CHANDIGARH:Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College, Sector 32, has won the overall trophy at Panjab University Youth and Heritage Festival for the fourth consecutive year.



Chandigarh, September 23

Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College, Sector 32, has won the overall trophy at Panjab University Youth and Heritage Festival for the fourth consecutive year. The festival concluded at the Government College of Arts and Business Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh. 

As many as13 co-educational colleges of Chandigarh participated in the event. Over 2,000 students competed for kaleidoscope of events such as folk dance, music, theatre, heritage and literary events. The competition for Indian orchestra, folk dance instrumental music- percussion and non-percussion instruments was held today. The overall trophy of the youth and heritage festival was bagged by GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh. 

Prof Emanual Nahar Dean Student Welfare was the chief guest for the closing ceremony of the festival. He congratulated the students and wished them luck for their future endeavours. He mentioned that the performance of the students was indeed enjoyable and emphasised that the extra-curricular activity along with studies was essential for the holistic development of the students.—TNS
