Khattar lays foundation stone for Rs 705-crore projects via digital link

PANCHKULA:Ahead of the model code of conduct for the forthcoming Assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Lal today laid the foundation stone of three projects worth Rs 705 crore, to be developed by Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), through digital link from Karnal.

Ahead of the model code of conduct for the forthcoming Assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Lal today laid the foundation stone of three projects worth Rs 705 crore, to be developed by Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), through digital link from Karnal.

The Chief Minister (CM) laid the foundation stone of projects, including 7,500 houses to be constructed by the HSVP for the rehabilitation of the slum dwellers of Indira Colony, Rajiv Colony and Khadak Mangoli at a cost of Rs 650 crore, construction of a bridge connecting Sectors 20-21 and Sectors 24-26 across Ghaggar river at a cost of Rs 50.37 crore and a community centre to be built at a cost of Rs 4.42 crore. 

The CM also unveiled 17 artifacts set up by the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board at the Mata Mansa Devi Temple Complex in collaboration with the Arts and Cultural Workforce Haryana at a cost of Rs 25 lakh. 

While addressing the gathering at PWD Rest House local BJP MLA Gian Chand Gupta thanked the CM for handing over developmental projects to Panchkula district and fulfilling the old demand of housing for poor people. 

“Panchkula district has been overlooked in terms of development during the tenure of the previous government,” he added. 

Among those present during the function include Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Director, Arts and Culture Department, Maheshwar Sharma, Urban Development Authority’s Mahavir Kaushik, CEO, Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, MS Yadav, BJP district president Deepak Sharma, BJP leader Kulbhushan Goyal and other officials.
