CHANDIGARH: The police have registered a case against a man for allegedly raping his live-in partner on the pretext of marriage.



Chandigarh, April 24

The police have registered a case against a man for allegedly raping his live-in partner on the pretext of marriage. The victim said she was in a live-in relationship with Ankit Sandhu and stayed at Dadu Majra village for one year after he promised to marry her. On September 15, 2018, the victim and Ankit visited his parents regarding their marriage and they agreed. However, after a week, Ankit’s parents disowned him and he left her.

On her complaint, the Maloya police registered a case against Ankit. — TNS
