Lok Adalat to be held on November 17

PATIALA:In an effort to settle pending issues, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali, will organise state-level special Lok Adalat pertaining to revenue matters on November 17.

In an effort to settle pending issues, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali, will organise state-level special Lok Adalat pertaining to revenue matters on November 17. 

The Adalat will be held under the guidance and supervision of Justice TPS Mann, Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali.

Sanjiv Berry, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, said concerted efforts would be made to dispose of pending cases pertaining to mutation and partition in the executive courts of the district. Benches would be constituted at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, and SDM’s office in Samana, Patran, Nabha and Rajpura for the purpose. 

He said the objective was to settle the disputes amicably through compromise so as to save time and money of the parties and to reduce personal enmity between them. 

He said the willing party could make a request to the presiding officer of the court wherein his/her case was pending. He said for detailed information, one could visit www.pulsa.gov.in or dial toll-free helpline no. 1968. — TNS
