Chandigarh, August 16

Mayor Asha Jaswal promised residents to provide them round-the-clock water supply. She said the Municipal Corporation had been constantly working towards making the city number one in every field. She said the water issue topped their agenda. She said 2.50 lakh dustbins were being distributed by the MC under the “segregation of waste at source’ scheme. The garbage problem of the city had been solved with the concerted efforts of the MC, she added. “JP Associates will install a compost plant within three months,” Jaswal said.
