CHANDIGARH: A seven-day workshop on evidence-based nursing practice and methods of clinical teaching and supervision was organised by the National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, from July 15 to 21.

A seven-day workshop on evidence-based nursing practice and methods of clinical teaching and supervision was organised by the National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, from July 15 to 21.

The workshop was funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and 29 participants from different regions, including Haryana, Punjab, Himachal and Chandigarh, took part in the workshop.

Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER, had inaugurated the event. He said: “Evidence-based nursing practice is an important step for improving the profession. The methods of clinical teaching and supervision are important in improving the skill of nursing students.”

Prof Meenu Singh, Department of Paediatrics, spoke about evolution of evidence-based practice and its application in patient care. — TNS
