Mohali, September 15
The local police have arrested a drug peddler with 1 kg of charas from near TDI City here. The suspect has been identified as Om Parkash (38), a resident of Balongi village. Inspector Manphul Singh, SHO of the Balongi police station, said Om Parkash had come there to deliver charas to his client.
“We got a tip-off following which a naka was laid there,” said the SHO. A case under Sections 20, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the suspect.
He was produced before a court, which remanded him in one-day police custody.
