Police suspect Mani, Ladi’s role in Baltana murder case

CHANDIGARH:Senior police officials of Mohali today questioned Amandeep Singh, alias Mani, and Harjinder Singh, alias Ladi, who were arrested by the Panchkula police in connection with Bouncer Amit Sharma, alias Meet’s murder.

Senior police officials of Mohali today questioned Amandeep Singh, alias Mani, and Harjinder Singh, alias Ladi, who were arrested by the Panchkula police in connection with Bouncer Amit Sharma, alias Meet’s murder. 

The Mohali police is suspecting involvement of Mani and Ladi in the murder of Ajay Jain, owner of Jain mobile centre in Baltana. 

Confirming the development, a senior police official of the Panchkula police said officials of the Mohali police today came and questioned Mani and Ladi in connection with Baltana murder. 

Thirty five-year-old Ajay Jain, resident of Baltana, was shot dead near his house on April 27. The accused were riding a motorcycle. Three persons had came on a bike and before shooting Ajay Jain, one of the bike riders had asked his name and when Ajay confirmed it, the other had shot him. After the murder, the shopkeepers of the Baltana area had even closed their shops and had demanded the arrest of the culprits.The Panchkula police yesterday had produced the accused, Mani and Ladi, in the District Courts, which sent them to 10-day police custody.
